Will the Department of Defense and Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency have it both ways?

Per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are man-made chemicals that have been used since the 1940s. Since PFAs do not readily biodegrade hence the nickname “forever chemicals”. Never mind, there are many other chemicals that last a long time, i.e. forever micro plastics which humans consume a credit card full of each week.
In 2020, the Department of Defense (DoD) annual budget under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) directed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to initiate regulations. The Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) was amended to add section 8(a)(7), which implements regulations on Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS). On October 11, 2023, the EPA published a final rule under TSCA. The rule requires persons (entities, AKA businesses) who manufactured and imported PFAs for commercial purposes from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2022, to electronically report PFA information to the agency. Under Federal law, businesses must submit a report to the EPA within 18 months (for large businesses) and 24 months (for small entities/ businesses) the amounts contained in products or imported. Learn more
Although a Federal law, PFAs limits and restrictions are established by each state. Some states have adopted the rule and set limits for Minimum Concentration Levels (MCLs) in drinking water (groundwater, surface water, soil, etc.) and deadlines for removal of PFAs from products and processes in the state. Other states have opted for non-enforceable guidance levels.
Class action lawsuits and litigation against manufacturers have started. 3M, Chemours, DuPont and Corteva and Solvay appear to be in the DOD and EPA cross hairs. 3M issued a press release about their fight against the government.

Deadlines for elimination and replacement of PFAs are unrealistic, and inevitably may be extended. States will lose manufacturing base in the interim. Hopefully, businesses will push back as with Conflict Minerals and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). PFA regulation may tank, as did Conflict Minerals, under its own weight. In the meantime, the onerous task of supply chain evaluation and due diligence reporting are required.
In a technical presentation, the EPA cites data from mice and rat studies and “peer reviewed” human studies as their justification for enacting this regulation. No long-term epidemiologic studies?
Why is the DOD getting involved with PFAs regulation? Since the mid-1990s EPA has used TSCA to develop knowledge of business supply chain. What is the DOD’s motive?
In 2021 DARPA released the Covid “vaccine”. Is it a coincidence that DARPA enacted PFA regulations and then on its heels released the Covid Jab? Over the same period, a long overdue report about fluoride was making its way, again, through the government bureaucracies.

“A high-quality data report funded by the NIH [National Institutes of Health] — linking maternal exposure to fluoride with deficits in IQ had made it to the U.S. Department of Human Services assistant secretary for health, Dr. Rachel Levine desk for approval and release. When the National Toxicology Program’s (NTP) 1,573-page systematic review concluded that 64 out of 72 studies showed a link between fluoride and lowered IQ, dental officials at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the NIH’s National Institute of Dental and Cranial Facial Research put pressure on Dr. Rachel Levine, to prevent the review from being published. Levine told the NTP to not publish the report but to put it on hold and allow for further review.”
Michael Connett is the lead attorney for the plaintiffs in a landmark federal trial on the neurotoxicity of water fluoridation brought against the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The trial resumed in January 2024 after a four-year pause. It seeks to prohibit the addition of fluoride to water. Four years?
It is illegal for the Federal Government to add medicine to drinking water under the Safe Drinking Water Act , since it takes away the individual’s right to make their own health decisions under informed consent legal requirements. The statute specifically prohibits the EPA from requiring the addition of medicine to the water supply. Why doesn’t that statue apply to fluoride?
“Because it’s not the Federal Government that’s doing it,” Connett said. “The EPA can’t do it, but local health boards can do it [put medicine in the water supply].” Municipalities and state governments are allowed to add fluoride to drinking water. Is this starting to sound more and more like a PFA playbook?
On one hand the DOD and DARPA care so much about human health and the environment that after 80 years of research and findings that fluoride damages IQ, health, and shortens lifespans, they want it to remain in drinking water. On the other hand, for a few mice studies, and supposed objective peer reviewed studies, PFAs present imminent danger and must be eliminated in 5 years or less? So can the DOD, DARPA and EPA have it both ways? Yes, for sure, until businesses and individuals fight back.

Journalist Christopher Bryson who wrote “The Fluoride Deception,” revealed the details of how fluoride was used in the 1940’s in the U.S. The Manhattan Project (making of the atomic bomb). Fluoride used in production of plutonium and uranium for weapons. However, the fluoride was damaging to the workers in these plants and resulted in many lawsuits. In an effort by the government to avoid massive lawsuits and to calm the public’s fears, a campaign was developed to promote fluoride as safe and effective for tooth decay.

Is this the German chemist who was an official IG Farben chemical industries and prominent Nazi Otto Ambros?
Ambros was an IG Farben chemist, who co-discovered sarin gas among other things. He was awarded one million Reichsmarks by Hitler for scientific achievement. He was Hitler’s chief of Committee- C for chemical warfare and manager of IG Farben’s slave labor camp at Auschwitz. Ambros was tried and convicted at Nuremberg. After an early release he was hired by the U.S. government and transported to the U.S. as part of Operation Paperclip. Ambros worked for W.R.
